Dear Valued Customer

 
Just a reminder that our dealership is open for vehicle and parts sales, and service and repairs for both private and business customers. We have put a number of strict measures in place to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, ensuring your safety (and ours) when you visit Ermelo Toyota. Customers are requested to kindly contact us to schedule an appointment for all sales, finance and insurance, test drives and regular services and repairs, in order to minimise the number of people within the dealership space.
 
Vehicle deliveries will take place in accordance with the current lockdown regulations and directives,
 
Customers are invited to book services, test drives and make use of the other innovative features on our website  www.ermelotoyota.co.za  or on the My Toyota App which is available for download and the Apple App and Google Play Stores.
 
Toyota Warranties and Service/Maintenance Plans will not be affected by the lockdown and will be extended to accommodate days 'lost' during lockdown. Please contact our Service Centre on 0178110614/15 for more information.
 
All visitors to the dealership are required to wear a mask as per current lockdown regulations. Guests will also be asked to sanitize, have their temperature taken and sign a register before entering the dealership.

In accordance with the announcement last night by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Ebrahim Patel, and the latest Government Gazette No. 43308, we are excited to announce that we are permitted to offer more services to our customers which include:

  • Trade in new and used cars (including trade-ins and car lease returns).

All car maintenance and repairs which include:

  • Emergency repairs.
  • Routine servicing of cars that are due or overdue in terms of the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to commend you for complying with the President’s call to stay at home for the duration of the country wide Lock Down. All pleased to be eased down to level 4, it’s time for us to get back on the road again. Albeit gradually.

Your health and wellbeing are of great importance to us and we would like to assure you of our commitment to keeping you safe.

Our dealership is once again open for business in terms of level 4 lockdown regulations which are:

  • Service and sales (parts and vehicles) to Level 4 and Level 5 customers, as well as customers working for these companies/industries as gazetted by government.
  • Customers should be in possession of the relevant certificates and/or permits.
  • Please note that currently no interprovincial deliveries of parts/vehicles sold may take place.
  • Repairs (not service) are also allowed to vehicles of the general public.

We have put measures in place to ensure that the services we provide are carried out within the required regulatory standards. We have implemented the following to ensure the safety of both yourself and our staff:

  • Prior to opening for business our entire facility was sanitized. This includes all surfaces as well as the furniture.
  • All vehicles on the premises were also sanitized. This included all new and Automark vehicles (whether on the showroom floor or elsewhere) and all vehicles which were in the Service Centre for any reason.
  • All our staff were trained regarding the importance and requirements of the precautions outlined and understand that they are in place to ensure both your and their safety.
  • We have limited the number of entrances to the dealership to the Service Centre and the main entrance at New Vehicle Sales.
  • We are keeping a register of all people who visit the dealership to enable contact tracking should it be required.
  • A host will welcome you at the door, spray your hands with sanitizer and record your temperature.
  • Should your temperature be outside of the normal range you will be advised to go home and consult a medical practitioner. The same will apply to our staff.
  • Out of respect for our customers, all our staff will wear masks. Please may we request that you do the same as per level 4 lockdown regulations. Access to our facility will not be allowed unless a mask is worn.
  • There will be no physical contact when any of our staff greet you e.g. no handshakes.
  • Our facilities are being cleaned with the required products at regular intervals throughout the day.
  • Our staff facilities are included in this cleaning schedule.
  • We have made hand sanitizer available to you at every possible touch point e.g. rest rooms, sales desks, cashier, parts counter, service advisor desks etc.
  • Our card machines are wiped with sanitizer before and after every transaction. Transactions will be cashless whenever possible.
  • Should a pen be required to be used, it will be wiped with sanitizer before and after use.
  • Our parts counter has a demarcated line in front of it to ensure social distancing.
  • No refreshments will be offered during your visit. Our vending machines are not operational.
  • The furniture in our customer waiting areas has been rearranged to ensure social distancing.
  • All our staff will sanitize their hands before and after they interact with you.
  • Some of our staff may wear gloves. This is to protect their hands as their skin is sensitive to the alcohol in the sanitizer. They will spray the gloves with sanitizer before and after each interaction. Damaged gloves will be replaced immediately.
  • We have removed all cloth towels in our facility and have replaced them with paper ones.
  • We have implemented a minimum door policy to ensure the use of door handles is kept to the lowest possible level.

If you would like to service your vehicle with us, the following is in place:

  • Should you wish to service your vehicle and not want to leave your home or place of work, we will gladly collect the vehicle and return it to you.
  • Vehicles being dropped and collected in the Service Centre will have all touch points (40 in total) sanitized including the keys. The relevant protective covers will also be used.
  • Should you require it, Drop & Go arrangements can be made (interactions with our staff will be via phone only).
  • All our service advisor’s desks have a demarcated line in front of them to ensure social distancing takes place. The required positioning of the chairs is marked on the floor.
  • Our technicians will sanitize their hands before and after touching a vehicle.
  • Our wash bay will ensure that all cloths are disinfected and that they sanitize their hands before and after washing each vehicle.
  • We will no longer provide courtesy buses to take our guests to work and return them to the dealership to collect their vehicles. We will use individual vehicles. The number of customers per vehicle will be in line with government protocol.
  • You will be able to book a specific arrival time for your vehicle service thus limiting the number of people at the dealership at any one time.
  • We will now offer vehicle servicing/repairs during the following hours 08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday and 08h00 to 12h00 on Saturday (in the case of an emergency please call Heinrich Potgieter 082 373 8632 ).

If you would like to visit our vehicle showrooms, both New and Automark, the following is in place:

  • You are welcome to make an appointment at a specific time. We will limit the number of appointments thus minimizing the number of people in the showroom at any point.
  • The layout of the furniture in the sales cubicles have been adjusted to ensure maximum distance when interacting with the staff. The required positioning of the chairs is marked on the floor.
  • No physical brochures will be available. We will refer you to the our website @ www.ermelotoyota.co.za for vehicle details.
  • Before and after a demo/test drive all touch points in the vehicle will be wiped with sanitizer.
  • Should you wish us to bring a vehicle to your home for a test drive we will gladly do so.

We have taken these precautions to ensure the health and safety of our guests and our staff. Should you have any queries regarding any of the measures outlined above please do not hesitate to contact us.

During these unprecedented times, we would like you to know that you are in our thoughts. We sincerely hope that you and your love ones are healthy and safe.

 

Whilst we continue to stay at home during the National Lockdown, we are busy planning for that day when we’re are all back on the road again. The current situation with regards to the spread of the COVID-19 virus will change the way our dealership will operate going forward. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff is of the utmost importance to us and will remain our number one priority going into the future.

 

During the remainder of the lockdown, we will focus on preparing our facility, operations and staff to ensure that we provide you with services which meet all the required standards for the prevention of the spread of the virus. Here are just some of the measures we will be focusing on:

  • Access to the dealership for both guests and staff.
  • Sanitisation of our facilities, vehicles, tools, furniture, hands, etc.
  • How to ensure social distancing.
  • Limiting the interaction required with our team e.g. collection & delivery of vehicles for service, test drives from the customer’s home.
  • Cashless transactions.
  • Training our staff on the new operating procedures.
 

It is our intention to spend the days until the lockdown is over, finalising and putting plans in place to ensure that when you visit us again, you will know that your safety is in good hands.
