TOYOTA GAZOO Racing South Africa (TGRSA) is gearing up for an exciting weekend of racing as Round 4 of the 2023 Global Touring Cars (GTC) championship takes place at the Aldo Scribante Race Circuit in the city of Gqeberha. With all eyes on the unfolding GTC season, TGRSA's drivers are prepared to do battle at the challenging circuit.
TGRSA will field its regular line-up of GTC drivers, including Saood Variawa, Nathi Msimanga, and Michael van Rooyen. Variawa, currently on 80 points and leading the championship, has been in exceptional form, displaying maturity beyond his years. Variawa will be behind the wheel of his GR Corolla, aiming to extend his lead in the championship standings.
Hot on his heels is privateer Toyota Corolla driver, Robert Wolk, who sits just 9 points behind in the championship leader. Msimanga, in third place with 65 points, and Michael van Rooyen, in fourth place with 48 points, are eager to make their mark and close the gap to the front.
The Aldo Scribante Race Circuit is known for its challenging layout and exciting racing action. The circuit's twists and turns will test the drivers' skills and provide an exhilarating spectacle for motorsport enthusiasts. As for the weather forecast, current indications suggest favourable conditions with mild temperatures and a clear sky throughout the weekend, setting the stage for intense competition on the track.
